Accounts and Our Earth
I am going to shoot myself.
FIFO, LIFO, Weighted average.
How come I do not understand what I am reading?
Matilah aku. Kena tembak depan pelajar-pelajar yang lain and pensyarah nanti.
Those of us with no accounting background at all are struggling to cope with this subject.
I can do this Kathleen.
"It's elementary my dear girl."
Urgh.
Will await judgment day when we do our presentation this week.
And bring back the scars of battle...
If we ever make it out alive...
Oh, by the way, have a look at the two world maps below.
Can you spot the difference?
Not the resolution or blurness of it, please.
Mercator Projection |
Hobo-Dyer Projection |
Apparently, there were some politics going on regarding the map that was used. That it did not represent the true size of certain continents. As you can observe from both maps, the gridlines are there as a marker for size.
In the first map, the gridlines were definitely there, but as time progressed, people forgot the gridlines and maps were printed with the gridlines forsaken. The map that we grew up knewing became like this.
With no gridlines, North America was then depicted as being a larger continent as compared to Africa. In truth, it is the reverse actually. Even Greenland became bigger than usual hahaha and in actual fact, it's smaller than Australia. Malaysia? No change la. Hahah.
The actual and correct map used now is the Hobo-Dyer's projection.
Now, we know. And if you have always thought that the world map was the third picture, well, sorry to say this, but you've been trolled! *silly trollolol song comes into my head*
That's all I wanted to let you people know about for today. Be smart!
Back to numbers and bookkeeping. :'(
