Intoxi'Kath'ing Whispers

Just yesterday, Friday, I managed to watch Hairspray the musical on TV3!! Thank you RTM! I have always wanted to watch this movie but I just couldn't. Didn't manage to catch it in the cinemas and never had the thought to buy the ori cds. Yea, I know!! So outdate right?? Hahaha. But finally!! I LOVE musicals. Musicals like The Sound of Music , West Side Story , My Fair Lady and many others have always, always been a part of my life as I grew up. And hairspray is definitely beautiful. No doubt the plot is a bit predictable (underdog girl wins the prize boy, people unite together and so on) but gosh... The songs, the dance moves, the fashion style... it's all so engaging!!! I couldn't stop humming the songs and even copying the moves!! It was definitely fun. :D The songs especially are catchy and very cheerful. You can't help but feel as if you have no more worries when you listen to the songs. Hence, I want to share two songs which I love from this movie here...

A scene from the show called Beetlejuice (No idea what movie that is, but I find this scene very hilarious. LOL!). Beware the ending though. :D I used to hear this song when I was younger. Quite a catchy one. Do enjoy!

I missed getting the novel to this upcoming movie. I remember wanting to get it so much but I just didn't have the dough to get it. I remember when it was reviewed in the newspaper, this particular novel got rave reviews. I still haven't got the book, but from this trailer, it'll definitely be on my to-get list. Better get it before this movie comes out and they jack up the price of the book! Hahaha.They may do it know? Synopsis: About a girl who is raped, murdered and chopped into pieces. She watches over her family from her heaven as they come to terms with her death and try to track down her murderer. She also watches over her murderer as he goes on with his life. Something like that...Based on the novel by Alice Sebold.

I've never really been an ardent fan of the Twilight series(boo...says you). And I have no idea why some girls go gaga over Edward the vampire. He looks so paste-y with the bloodshot eyes (yea yea he's supposed to look that way). And bleah! I think he looked way hotter in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire as Cedric Diggory . That, I can go gaga. But in Twilight??? The romance between Edward and Bella is fine. Romantic, mushy and cliched. Heh. But there's nothing much for me to shout about. (Sorry to the ardent fans, esp to my three sisters. Ha.) This year, the next sequel in this series is about to be released tentatively in November. Known as New Moon , the title is definitely appropriate since the werewolves play a bigger role this time. I didn't read any of the books in the Twilight series though my sisters finished the whole lot of it. So there's no doubt I have no idea of what's going on in the next book.
