Compassion Walk 2013

Image
What do: a cobbler from Sandakan living in KL for 17 years, a beggar with a broken right hand, a Bangladeshi foreigner working for a construction company, an uncle well in his 70+ years but single and an enforcement officer working on a Saturday have in common? Well, they were the people whom I met during my Compassion walk 2013. :) We were supposed to walk around KL city, approach people, ask them questions, give out food and water. Personally, I found it very hard to approach them, talk to them and give them food, if they wanted to take of course. I couldn't do it!!! I got scared. *wails* That is why I cannot do outdoor sales (I'm sorry!), me no like approaching strangers. Face not thick enough. I have of course, in desperate moments, approached people when I really needed help. Anyway, thank goodness J, P and A took that step. I followed. They were bolder, hahaha and more streetwise. I was given a bottle of water to give to someone random but I didn't se...

Don't Sweat It

Image
Oh my golly gee whiz... I have so many things on my mind which I want to write about but my fingers cannot keep up with my thoughts. Now now, let's see. Ah, yes. I scolded my baby niece for the first time. Hahaha. She's a few months old but she can learn to differentiate a scolding tone and an endearment tone. It was more of a loud "Eh" while looking sternly (as sternly as I could) at her. Cause she was throwing tantrums and gave this sharp ear-piercing scream while I was carrying her. She stopped fussing... hahaha. And who says Kathleen cannot scold a baby? :P I am trying to learn about myself again. Don't we all? Mom says I'm crazy at times. Why? Cause I sweat the small stuff, and when it comes to the big stuff, I'm as cool as a cucumber. Where got?? What she says: - I was very nervous the night before my registration at UPM as a student. I didn't sleep the whole night. (small stuff) - I travelled on my own in Bangkok, Thailand, a...

Peter Pan the Musical

Image
"I don't want to grow up!!!" Isn't that a statement we all must have heard or uttered sometime during our life? We all must have wished that we could be children again once in a while. Without the need to grow up. Without the need to be responsible for our own doings. Without the need to worry if everything is taken care of. A time when we could be free from the bonds of life and just think happy thoughts every single day. Didn't you??? I did! Well, guess what? I may not be able to bring you back to your childhood (unless I have some pixie dust with me) but Sunway Lagoon can! (In a way) Sunway Lagoon (your all time favourite theme park, I'd say) will be, for the very first time, hosting "Peter Pan: The Musical" , featuring theatrical talents from (where else?) London's very own West End theatre district! Come and experience Neverland once again. Be thrilled as you explore the magical island together with the Darling children as th...

Pink Ribbon

Image
The Pink Ribbon/Passionately Pink event was held in Jaya One (Groud Floor) near Utar PJ campus recently. Actually it was quite a while, haha. But the gallery is still open where we can admire/criticise the pink rubber ducks which were self-decorated by various local artistes including the likes of Sarimah Ibrahim, Daphne Iking even Amber Chia. I was there with my three sisters where we only had the intention of eating at Wendy's, then we decided to walk around for a bit and came across the gallery. So, being busybodies and since Eileen's a pink maniac, we went in to have a look. The ducks were cute! Unfortunately we didn't bring any cameras so no pics. But we did buy one pink rubber duck of our own as the proceeds went to charity for breast cancer (Sth like that.) RM10 per duck . Quite ok lo. Haha. Here is our duck. Original. No additives, preservatives, colourings and what nots. Hahaha. This is what's written at the bottom of our duck! I super like the pun! Pink ...
