Holly, Buns, News and Freakin' Bananas

Ta-da!! Here we have our silly dog sunbathing in the morning sun... Lazy thing. She saw me with the camera and quickly looked at me haha. Ain't she adorable?


Another pic of her sunbathing. In this pic, she looks a lot like a roosting hen. Buh-bwak!



This is a pic of a bun I bought from Baker's cottage. It's filled with red bean paste, not that I like that filling. But the shape of the bun itself is so cute!!! It's an octopus! Or octobun..hehehe.


Oh yea.. this was what happened to the bun after I pinched each of its legs and nose off to eat..hahahaha.


This is another bun from Baker's cottage. Both these buns are new products or something like that. This bun is a panda and has chocolate filling! Yums! Oh right, I pulled off the ears but forgot to take a pic before eating hahah.


What made my day today was an article in the world section in today's (14/7/2009) Star newspaper. Titled "Chinese Road Vigilante and Internet Hit, Says Report", it was about a retired school teacher who threw bricks at cars whose drivers disobeyed the traffic lights. Seems that that intersection was fatal and a lot of pedestrians have died trying to cross the road. So this guy was fed up and wanted the drivers to take note. Hahaha. Check out the excerpt below about the news. I laughed when I saw that people were bringing them MORE bricks to throw!!! This is hilarious!!!



Anyway, aside from that, my dad recently bought these huge-a** bananas from the fruit shop. They're known as 'hong jiu' which literally means red bananas la. These bananas turn yellow when they're ripe. They were so huge, it scared the rest of my family and we've sworn off eating bananas for now. So my poor lonely dad is the only one eating these!!!

See? And my hand for comparison...in size! Aren't they like humongously big?? Urgh!



Hahaha.... not convinced of the size?? Check this out!!! Hahahahah


My dad bought rambutans too and I was tempted to do something with the rambutans and the banana.. hahaha. But but... I decided not to. Bleah!

Of Vampires and Werewolves

I've never really been an ardent fan of the Twilight series(boo...says you). And I have no idea why some girls go gaga over Edward the vampire. He looks so paste-y with the bloodshot eyes (yea yea he's supposed to look that way). And bleah! I think he looked way hotter in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire as Cedric Diggory . That, I can go gaga. But in Twilight??? The romance between Edward and Bella is fine. Romantic, mushy and cliched. Heh. But there's nothing much for me to shout about. (Sorry to the ardent fans, esp to my three sisters. Ha.) This year, the next sequel in this series is about to be released tentatively in November. Known as New Moon , the title is definitely appropriate since the werewolves play a bigger role this time. I didn't read any of the books in the Twilight series though my sisters finished the whole lot of it. So there's no doubt I have no idea of what's going on in the next book. My Future???

After thinking for a while, (ok, not a while but many whiles) I have finally decided what to do after I graduate (hopefully) in May this year. I have narrowed it down to two options. Sigh. Either I continue my studies and proceed wtih Masters (God, help me..) or I apply for this work and travel thing to US for six months. Will see how it goes... see which comes first. If it's the latter, I'd most probably miss my Convocation. If the former is first, the latter will no longer be on my list. We'll see we'll see. :) P/S: Applying for masters has nothing to do with what the government has allocated to help the economy.
