Studio Convo Pics

Ooppss.. Yea it's a kinda overdue. But I so want to share my bundle of joy with you all.  *big, wide grin* (Not really, just wanted a reason to put up these pics. Ha.) Thus this post. :P As you may know, my convocation  was held at Wisma MCA (UTAR ma.... eesh, no posh hotel unlike Chian heh) on 9th Aug 2009.  Nothing much, except a sense of sadness as we finally graduate and go on our separate ways and that day was the only day we'll see each other in full attendance/ force. (For sure, there are people who are always missing during gatherings haha). Well, graduation is an important event no? Thus, it calls for studio photos!!! Muahaha. Revealing....ta-da! Silly Questions

R to me: "Hey, you straightened your hair ah?" My reply: "No, gravity pulled my hair down straight for me." A to me: "You look very glamorous today!" My thoughts: Meaning I look horrible everyday? -.-' A phone call woke me up from my slumber. Caller: "Hey, sleeping ah?" My reply: "Not anymore..." Upon receiving a phone call, Caller: "Hey Kath, are you there?" My reply: "No, I'm not. That's why I'm talking to you." Someone to me: "Oh! You're here." My reply: "No. It's the body snatchers..." *sweats*

Breakfast Conversation

We had breakfast together today. One of the very, very rare times. Dad had some scratches on his chest, thanks to our female dog, Holly. And this was what happened. Mom: "What happened to you?" Dad: "The dog scratched me when I was playing with her." Mom: "Sure it's not some other bitch?" Dad (with a sheepish smile): "No la... She suddenly jumped up at me." Mom: "That will teach you a lesson for walking around bare-chested among bitches." Then she laughs. Me and my two sisters : -.-'

What is Life?

Yes. I admit. I am OLD!!! *sniff* I actually thought I was pretty young (pretty and young, you know? :P) till recently. Jenny's recent post stirred up some very odd feelings inside of me. It got me to seriously start thinking about my future. (Not that I didn't, just not that deep). Why do I say I'm old?? I'm now in the next phase of life - work. But after this, then what? Marriage? Not on the cards for me yet, seems too far away. :( If that does happen, so what? I'll just settle back down into being a working, married woman. Then? Kids....?? Two, three, God knows how many will pop out. LOL. And suddenly, I'm a working mother. Next? Work, work, work. Family, family, family. And then??? *Bam!!!*  RETIRE.... and spend my free time doing gardening or Tai Chi...hahahaha. And at most become a grandmother. And then? We die... Where we all rot in our wooden graves... and our souls float around or go to heaven.(See la if you're good or not. Heh.) Wh

The Lovely Bones

I missed getting the novel to this upcoming movie. I remember wanting to get it so much but I just didn't have the dough to get it. I remember when it was reviewed in the newspaper, this particular novel got rave reviews. I still haven't got the book, but from this trailer, it'll definitely be on my to-get list. Better get it before this movie comes out and they jack up the price of the book! Hahaha. They may do it know? Synopsis: About a girl who is raped, murdered and chopped into pieces. She watches over her family from her heaven as they come to terms with her death and try to track down her murderer. She also watches over her murderer as he goes on with his life. Something like that...Based on the novel by Alice Sebold.

Another Dengue Statistic (Part 1)

Subang Jaya is a well known hotspot for dengue cases. But I would have never expected myself to become another statistic. It all happened quite suddenly. I was well one day (even went out for a drink), the next day I woke up with a high fever (39.4 degree C), throbbing headaches, breathing difficulties and rashes all over my body. I felt like total crap. Slept throughout the morning, with my mom and sister occasionally sponging my hot body with a damp cloth to keep the body temperature down. Mid afternoon, my parents took me to see the doctor to find out what's going on. My mom had to literally support me from the house to the car. I dropped on to the car seat and slept. When we reached the clinic, again I had to be supported to the clinic from the car. I literally fell asleep on the clinic's sofa in the lounge. I was just so tired and groggy. Just before the doctor was to see me, I felt nauseous, so I went into the bathroom. There, you could say that I almost slumped onto
