Bukit Merah Trip 1

Just last Tuesday, my family went for a short holiday to Bukit Merah Laketown Resort. All the while, we have heard of it but we did not really know what it was all about. This resort is located in the middle of nowhere. Seriously... You want food, you have got to travel for more than 10 minutes to get there.

The place we stayed at was Palm View apartments... And, you really get a 'fantastic' view of palm trees. Just open the windows, you see palms... All you see from your room window is palm trees among growths of lalang and weeds. How suitable the name is. :P This apartment seriously is not meant for people who are very particular of cleanliness like me!!! There are stains everywhere! Bed cover, bed sheets even the pillow sheets!! Some had reddish-like stains which seriously... urgh.. you kow what comes to mind don't you?! Yucks.. My skin crawls whenever I think of it again.. haha. I mean I do not mind staying in a zero star place but please la... cleanliness is important! Another thing about this resort is the lack of food variety. You either have extremely expensive ones or the normal-priced ones but, which do not cater to your taste buds.. We could not find any decent chinese food stall... nearly resorted to eating maggi mee in cup in our rooms...

But these two things were the only bad events during our trip. The activities the resort has is wonderful! They have the water park, ecopark, orang utan island, actvities like chairlift, boat-paddle and many, many more! Here are some of the pics we took during our trip..



Ducks swimming around freely. Feed them and they come after you. So cute! RM1 per food packet.







The ducks again. Oh yeah, when you feed them, you can also see them shitting. Really!

This is a yellow-gloved monkey or something like that. Quite small in size, very tame, comes and take nuts from your hands.










This reminds me of a gentle Bambi.. Very docile and quiet. It will wait patiently for you to feed it leaves.









A cute small rabbit munching on its tea.. Wanted to carry it but... in the end did not la.

Of Vampires and Werewolves

I've never really been an ardent fan of the Twilight series(boo...says you). And I have no idea why some girls go gaga over Edward the vampire. He looks so paste-y with the bloodshot eyes (yea yea he's supposed to look that way). And bleah! I think he looked way hotter in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire as Cedric Diggory . That, I can go gaga. But in Twilight??? The romance between Edward and Bella is fine. Romantic, mushy and cliched. Heh. But there's nothing much for me to shout about. (Sorry to the ardent fans, esp to my three sisters. Ha.) This year, the next sequel in this series is about to be released tentatively in November. Known as New Moon , the title is definitely appropriate since the werewolves play a bigger role this time. I didn't read any of the books in the Twilight series though my sisters finished the whole lot of it. So there's no doubt I have no idea of what's going on in the next book. My Future???

After thinking for a while, (ok, not a while but many whiles) I have finally decided what to do after I graduate (hopefully) in May this year. I have narrowed it down to two options. Sigh. Either I continue my studies and proceed wtih Masters (God, help me..) or I apply for this work and travel thing to US for six months. Will see how it goes... see which comes first. If it's the latter, I'd most probably miss my Convocation. If the former is first, the latter will no longer be on my list. We'll see we'll see. :) P/S: Applying for masters has nothing to do with what the government has allocated to help the economy.
