A Trip, Food and a Puppy

Sorry been missing quite a while.
Here's what has been happening!

Exams are finally over and I am officially done with five trimesters of my studies... Whooppee!!
Now, I only have one more trimester to go.
You can do it Kathleen.Go kick some arse.

Here's what some of us did to celebrate the end of exams.
Crazy spontaneous trip.

Genting's cool glow in the dark bowling alley
We went up to Genting for a while. "A while" as in we left at 4pm sth and came down at 8pm sth... The shortest Genting trip ever in my life. I want to stay the night next time please. :) We got lost... hahahaha had to make a u turn near Taman Melati and get back on the proper track. The other car reached first and had to wait again for us as we could not find the parking entrance into One World hotel. The renovation up there is a mess!

Well, we basically just hanged out in the casino. Some of them wanted to play, finance people ma, the rest of us just walked around, took their free drinks (hahahaha) and walked out of the casino leaving those playing inside. I wanted to play too but initial bet of RM 10 was a bit steep to me. The one arm bandit would take ages to complete...

Then we went to the bowling alley! I loved the glow in the dark colours... they were super gorgeous! Bowling is game where you discover the hidden talents and the not so talented ones...zzzz... Hahahaha. I came in last la! Dang it. Iv who was initially behind me suddenly caught up during the game. SM and Rch who pretended to be very ordinary bowlers could actually score like nobody's business... Argh..!!! (Kena tricked) I don't want to play with you all anymore (sore loser :P).

After that we left and went down for dinner. I honestly forgot what's the place called but it's at the foot of Genting, near the interchange of the highways that lead onto MRR2. We had an awesome dinner there. One thing I learn, never assume the Mandarin translation of something is the same as what it is in English. Sigh. My 'prawn' became a 'lobster'. I didn't know I was going to order this. Hahahaha. But no regrets! Total bill was RM 200 plus but thanks to Iv's gambling skills at the casino, uncle Lim GT treated us RM100. Lol! Thanks Iv. Save my pocket...

Before we went up to Genting, we had tea at this new place known as 'Oh Scooter! Cafe'. They have a real scooter at the front of their cafe entrance. What was unique about their drinks were that some came with cotton candy in place of the normal sugar so you could actually decide on the sweetness of your coffee or you could also just stuff the cotton candy in your mouth... hahaha.

 It was a fun day of outing, arriving home after 11pm because TL took the long way home instead of the shorter one. Oh well. At least we could all chit chat with one another during the ride. It was great!

Its name is also Puppy because the owner is lazy to think of any.



It should be about two months old by now. A male. Anyone interested in adopting it? It is very very the cute la!!

People who shoot arrows at dogs should have the arrows shot back at them. Grr... they're just animals... don't be so cruel. Men were designated by God to take care of the earth and all its inhabitants eh. Eesh.

Char and I also whipped up something in our kitchen. A dessert known to us as Hedgehog cake. It was a recipe passed down by my late grandmother. We decided to give it a try and see how it turns out. 

The result is as shown below:


Marie biscuits, coconut shavings, cocoa powder, egg, sugar, butter, vanilla essence. This all that you need to make this. Quite simple really and fast too.

Heard of kek batik? I think this recipe is also a variation of that recipe.

Well, I think this is enough to satiate your curiosity about me for now. Hahaha.
I will be back if I have any rants, complaints to share. :P

Right now, I seriously have to concentrate on my project paper.
Oh gosh, how I detest reviewing literature where its English is so 'power' with its terms and definitions.

Of Vampires and Werewolves

I've never really been an ardent fan of the Twilight series(boo...says you). And I have no idea why some girls go gaga over Edward the vampire. He looks so paste-y with the bloodshot eyes (yea yea he's supposed to look that way). And bleah! I think he looked way hotter in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire as Cedric Diggory . That, I can go gaga. But in Twilight??? The romance between Edward and Bella is fine. Romantic, mushy and cliched. Heh. But there's nothing much for me to shout about. (Sorry to the ardent fans, esp to my three sisters. Ha.) This year, the next sequel in this series is about to be released tentatively in November. Known as New Moon , the title is definitely appropriate since the werewolves play a bigger role this time. I didn't read any of the books in the Twilight series though my sisters finished the whole lot of it. So there's no doubt I have no idea of what's going on in the next book. My Future???

After thinking for a while, (ok, not a while but many whiles) I have finally decided what to do after I graduate (hopefully) in May this year. I have narrowed it down to two options. Sigh. Either I continue my studies and proceed wtih Masters (God, help me..) or I apply for this work and travel thing to US for six months. Will see how it goes... see which comes first. If it's the latter, I'd most probably miss my Convocation. If the former is first, the latter will no longer be on my list. We'll see we'll see. :) P/S: Applying for masters has nothing to do with what the government has allocated to help the economy.
