An Email and a Talk

Image
You know how sometimes you give people feedback through emails or reply them and you don't hear anything from them? Then you begin to wonder if anybody even looks at their emails or not. Well, my fellow ex-Utarians, wonder no more. The UTAR Alumni does read theirs. And I thought they would not even bother to reply me. Hahaha.      What happened was, the UTAR Alumni would always send out emails to the alumni informing us of any upcoming events or talks that are held in the centre.      I began to notice that the emails regarding the talks, always reaches my inbox late. It's not a big thing. I could say, I don't care, it's not my problem. But I found it weird that the emails reached me after the talk has been gone and done with. Then you ask yourself, what's the point of the emails then? After a few times, I sent the email below to our Alumni. And yes, I know. It's supposed to be "a computer generated email" and not a...

Day 5 of 30 Day Blog Journal - My Favourite Book

Image
I am actually quite an avid and voracious reader. Brought up in a household where books were mostly my companions, I have always adored books and treasured them tremendously. Yes, I am a bookworm. Hahaha. But not till the extend of cooping up at home la. I was a tomboy ok? Anyway... I grew up on Enid Blyton, the Nancy Drew series, the Hardy Boys series (I did!), classics like Anne of Green Gables, the Little House on the Prairie, Black Beauty and so much more. As I aged (and withered), I shifted from these to Agatha Christie, old classics like Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, to the more modern ones like Stephen King. And yes, I also read R.L. Stine and Christopher Pike in high school. Hahaha. Who didn't? They were the most sought after books in the school library, forever being checked out by someone. Nonsense though they were. I read almost all sorts of genre. Horror, mysterires, chick lit, romance, non-fiction, self help, humour and so on. One of the genres that I ra...

Karaoke Sessions!!

Image
Hehehe. *rubs hands with glee* This post is dedicated to Yan. :P A few of us went for a karaoke session on Thursday night. It was supposed to the five of us. But someone forgot her work schedule (Caffeine OD) and couldn't make it at the last minute. Haiya. It was a bit disappointing cause the first time we went, the five of us had a crazy time. We missed you!! I actually didn't realize that karaoke sessions could be so much fun. The second time I entered a KTV was with my Uni friends (KT, Jenny, Tee and others) to celebrate the June babies. Coincidentally, most of the karaoke sessions I went to was at BTS Neway. Anyway, there were about eight of us that time and it was wild!!! It was super crazy and hilarious with the guys (KT, I remember) acting out the lyrics. We were laughing, jumping around and shouting like mad. I have never had that much fun in a KTV room. Too bad I had to leave early cause I took public transport there. Huh! The first time I went for a K session ...

Ooppsss...

O... kay... Dear all, I have since removed the last post which was posted on Monday. I actually drafted it out and I did not mean to post it up. Somehow, I must have clicked publish and I did not notice if not for the comments of Yan and Jenny. Thanks! (Shows you how dangerous the internet is) Anyway, it's not meant to be posted up. Not until I do amendments so that I seem cool and calm again. Haha. But for those who have read it.... heh....now you know. I do have a temper and I do get angry, for those who are wondering. You can go and buy your 4D number now. "Kath got angry...!!!|" And no, my anger is not work stress related. Not sure why so many people keep telling me not to stress though. I don't think I am. Yet. :) If I am stressed, I just end up sleeping. Really!!! What happened would be something like "The last straw that broke the camel's back." Yea... that was what it was. Sorry....

Of English, American and Local Pancakes

Image
Came home from work on a Saturday to this waiting for me in the refrigerator....Dessert!!! Yum-mos.... Sumptuous Desserts.. Never heard of it till that day. Inside were two of these mouth-watering and adorable 'pancakes', especially kept for me by mom. Hahahah. One was yellow and durian flavoured whereas the bottom one is green and contains mango pieces!! See? See? Mmm.... Delicious.... Hahahaha. Real pieces of mango fruit and cream (bleah..) Wrapped up in... something edible. One piece is not enough I tell you!! I want more... hahah. I like that it is bite-sized, not too sweet and just the right texture. No idea why it's called pancake though. I thought pancakes were meant to be flat.... not rolled up with stuffing. But then again, you have the English pancakes and the American pancakes which are both different in its preparation and looks too. So yea..  English pancakes are rolled up and you normally take them with a bit of sprinkled sugar and lime juice. Americ...
