Do you know how it feels when everytime exams come, eveything is off limits to you? I mean, like during my study week, I was not supposed to touch the computer, not to play games or go online. (My own doing). Everytime I sit down to study at the table (computer in front of me), my hands itch to touch the mouse or even the keyboard. Urgh! Computer games during this 'perfect time' (duration before exams) are especially 'enticing' (Forgive me if it's the wrong adjective). My heart longs to be with this LCD screen and its coulourful 'nature'. My eyes ache to be glued to its bright and sparkly 'eyes'. Aahhh! And then, here you go telling yourself, "Study girl, study. It's only for three weeks.The computer will still be there, but your exams are only once!!" Then I drag myself, still unwillingly to go and study. I just came back from the Actors' Studio in Bangsar. I didn't expect the studio to be that small but it was real cosy to me. Kind of like a small lecture hall but with cushioned chairs. The rows of seat were so near the stage with only seven rows in front of it. It's like the guy was just right in front of your very eyes. The purpose of this trip was to watch a guy present the Gospel according to St. Luke through his actions and just his words. Nope, he didn't read from the bible. It was rather like he was acting out the parables like in a show. A one man show though. He's one of the actors from broadway. Bruce Kuhn. Man, the way he retold St. luke's gospel was very interesting. Makes it easier to remember what happened and its sequence. During his presentation, he will be kneeling, running, shouting, crouching, doing all sorts of things to represent the different groups of people who were involed in the events. Malaysians are courteous. This is a community message from one of our local radio stations. In this message, they ask us to memorise these four words: Excuse me, Thank you. In my opinion, they left out one other important word: PLEASE. And, you shouldn't just memorise them... Use them! If you remember but don't use it, what's the point? No one will know you are polite except your brain. Why do I say that the word 'please' is important? Imagine someone gritting their teeth, tryng to elbow their way out of a packed train. "Excuse me excuse me." They go, faces scrunched up in frustration. That doesn't seem very nice or polite don't you think. (Not that I don't understand what they're going through. Been there done that, packed trains, you can hardly breathe, human sardines.) It's that time of the year again. Or month, which ever that is... But, no! Not 'that time' of the month. When we, the people are told/encouraged to put up/fly the National flag to show our patriotism. Seriously, does flying the flag mean you're being patriotic? So what about the other times of the year when we don't fly flags? Does it mean we're being unpatriotic? That's what the implication sort of means though. Patriotism doesn't come from flying our national flags, it comes from deep within the heart. What is the use of flying the national flag when we speak bad of our contry to visitng friends? There are surely a lot of other ways which we can show our patriotism. For example, pay our income taxes on time and don't try to evade it. Returning back any loans the government has funded to help us in our studies, like the PTPTN loans. Five days a week I take the LRT and KTM to class. These few weeks, I have always observed how people board the train. In KL Sentral, people automatically line up in two lines at the side to wait for the LRT. The middle space is for people in the train to disembark. But there are some people, either they are just plain ignorant or too self-absorbed in their own 'sweet' world, like to stand right in the middle of the pathway! Blur sotong! Maybe it's trick of theirs, so they don't have to line up, they can simply pretend to 'cut queue'. Some people like to stand in front of you and block your way into the train, when it was obviously you who was standing in that place first and was already waiting in line! Makes me mad. it becomes worse when you wait for the KTM in KL sentral around 5 something in the evening. People will push and push to get into the train. People who want to come out end up being pushed back inside the train again! Even if you stand still and let...

Yes, I have officially started classes in UTAR. Yes, I am also still travelling everyday to UTAR and back home. Yes, I am also very thankful to God that I got this place in UTAR. Though at first I was complaining about it. Hehe. The results for local U's applications were out last Monday. Some people were successful, some were not. I for one, can be considerd lucky to be offered a place. Yet, I did not get the course that Iwanted. Not even one of my eight choices. I was offered to do communication engineering in KUKUM in Perlis! The ironic thing is, I didn't even take physics for STPM! The nerve... One of my ex-school mates scored As in her STPM, yet she failed to get a place in the local Us. How is this application thing done, I do not know. All I know is, that I am glad that I applied for other Us while waiting for local Us. But now, I feel a bit sad that newly made friends are going off to local Us to continue their studies.. We somehow got to know one another better through...

I am really really confused, surprised, shocked and disorientated. On the first Saturday of May, I went to UTAR to send in my application for one of their courses. Just in case, I don't get the course I want in local u. The courses start in May. The course that I wanted was full, well, practically every science course was full. So I asked them to put me in for next year's Januray intake. (Just in case). I had settled that and thought they won't be calling me until next yaer. Then, just this Thursday, during their UTAR orientation day, they called to inform me that they are offering me a course of my choice. They are calling me at the last minute! I have to pay the bills by this coming Monday, find a place to stay(cause my campus is in Setapak), get myself mentally ready and also try to settle myself in. I have already missed their orientation day. So when I go for class this Monday, I will be like a real lost sheep. Won't know where my classes will be and stuff like tha...
